Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Selakovic received today a farewell call from Ambassador of the Netherlands Gilles Beschoor Plug, whom he thanked for cooperation and personal efforts made towards all-round promotion of bilateral relations between our two countries.

Minister Selakovic noted that there was interest and potential in Serbia for increasing economic cooperation and Dutch investments, and stated that he expected the arrival of large multinational companies.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy pointed out that Serbia agreed to the new methodology of accession negotiations with the EU, hoping that this would accelerate the entire process and enable the opening of a larger number of negotiation chapters through clusters.

Speaking about the dialogue with Pristina, Selakovic stressed that Serbia was fully committed to the normalization of relations and that to Belgrade this meant reaching a compromise solution that would be sustainable, applicable and acceptable to both sides.

Minister Selakovic reiterated his gratitude for the support that the Netherlands lent to Serbia through various projects aimed at promoting Serbian institutions.
